Here are some of the squares I am putting together from the Granny McPhee Swap. I have bordered them each in Linen, joined four, then bordered in Misty Taupe, and then again in Sea Spray, which is also a Misty color from Vanna's Choice. Two views - and as you can see one in the middle isn't bordered yet as a group, but joined.
I have a sample border in some of the Misty colors....trying out something new. This afghan will really be a bedspread when I am through, so I think the last borders will have to be fairly large. I just did a corner on this one to show someone on Ravelry.
What do you think? Not quite as sharp as Attic24, as she is SOOOOOOOOOO good with colors, but acceptable I think!

LOVE IT! I wish I had gotten in on this swap . . . I think granny blankets are so colorful. I like your idea of the squares of four outlined . . . nice.

Your work is as good as anyone's, BFF. You're the bomb when it comes to color combination and workmanship. I can't wait to see this finished. It's going to be a beautiful bedspread.
ReplyDeleteI think it's lovely and I admire your patience and diligence with all those color changes and then sewing/crocheting the patches together...very nice work!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

I LOVE what you are doing here...maybe I'll join the next one but that depends on how things go the rest of this summer and fall :) I'm looking forward to seeing this when its all done!
