months ago. This is sloooooooow going for sure. I'm going to add
more to this as it is just barely the correct length when I pull it
too and fro a bit! Having pulled a week of bed rest due to a cold of
epic proportions, I feel I am now ready to tackle this project once

yarn that is thicker than the yarn recommended, so I had to go with a
hook that is smaller than recommended. It think it is making the
dress a little stiffer, rather than flowing and soft, but as I am
making the new born size, I suppose that is alright. She won't be in
it that long...... <sigh> .......a lot of work for a short period of
use! This is yet another pattern from the same book as the Hoodie.
Hopefully I will be able to finish this before the birth in May....

pattern as the one for Alice Anne. I love the color, but it turned
out a bit heavier than I thought it would. I guess that is okay and
makes it more useful in cool weather. Right now the hood is on and I
am about ready to sew in the shoulders and sleeves then zip 'er up!
Still have to make the frog closure, which is a snap to do,
surprisingly. The yarn is Caron's Simply Soft in Soft Blue. I could
not finish size 2T with two skeins, so had to buy a third to finish
one inch on the hood. That's because I made the sleeves a bit bigger
and longer so it would last while she is growing into 3T.

I am on to another hooded jacket with a frog closure for this grandbaby (2 years soon). That way she and her soon to be new baby sister will have something similar, but different! I'd like to try an adult size in black if The Mama might like something to match the girls.
