Yesterday and today have been days for finishing projects. I was able to clear off a place in my bedroom and put away lots of yarn just purchased (shame on this yarn addict!). I have decided to start the deep cleaning process from one corner of the bedroom and work my way out, taking a box with me to collect those things that need to go "elsewhere" and in the trash. It was a bit of a chore just making it out of the corner!
Today is the computer room, but I'm of the mind to trade it for my bathroom! Easier.
Also, yesterday I finished the cutest cap for my niece in Boston. She is having her first baby in February and I thought she might need a pick-me-up for herself. You who have had children know how hard it is on the emotions, and then everyone comes to see baby, but you are set aside. I wanted her to have something to keep her cheery and feeling feminine.
She is a really pretty girl - looks great in all sorts of hats, so I made the Slouchy Beret from the Drew Embrowsky booklet, "In All Caps" - and I think it turned out quite lovely. A tad big, but I guess that is the idea. I think with her really curly hair it will be just the ticket.
What do you think?
I like . . the button sets it off . . .and the color is a cooling color . . .I really like it a lot :0}
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I really like it. What yarn did you use?
ReplyDeleteI love the color!
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to do some cleaning, purging and organizing around here. Ugh! I think I would be stuck in the same corner all day. It just seems like you get one thing sorted but then you gotta find a place for all the stuff that didn't belong there. It's a vicious cycle! Love the hat! Best wishes to you, Tammy
ReplyDeleteI think it is fresh and beautiful!
